What Is Special About Vitamin Infusions?

May 22, 2018

Vitamins are essential to the human body, however, the body produce little to no vitamins at all. These nutrients are very important to ensure normal metabolic processes to occur in the body and to ensure the well-being and full-functioning of all mechanisms.

Vitamins can be absorbed through the consumption of various foods such as citrus fruits and dairy products or through the oral intake of vitamin supplements or pills. Apart from these, another effective mode of vitamin intake also exists: vitamin infusions or intravenous vitamin therapy.

What are vitamin infusions?

Vitamin infusions, also known as intravenous vitamin therapy provide vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other required nutrients directly into the bloodstream.

How does it work?

A small catheter will be inserted into a vein and an infusion will be administered for 20 to 30 minutes. Side effects are very rare and are mostly just linked to slight irritation of the vein. The vitamin and mineral juice can be administered between 1 or 2 times per week, with beneficial effects usually visible after the fourth administration or visit. Patients with chronic health conditions could wish to receive vitamin infusions every 1 to 4 weeks or when ever their energy levels drop.

Is vitamin infusion therapy more effective than vitamin pills?

Although the intake of pills is a popular and efficient manner to address vitamin and mineral requirements in the body, it only provides the body with limited concentration of nutrients. On the contrary, the method of vitamin infusion enables the absorption of higher concentrations of nutrients into cells in the body. Furthermore, this technique is much more efficient and effective than intaking vitamin supplements in the form of pills, mainly due to its ability to induce faster absorption.

What health conditions can be treated?

Vitamin infusions can be used to treat or provide relief for various range of health issues such as:

• Alzheimer’s and dementia;

• Auto-immune illnesses;

• Asthma;

• Cardiovascular diseases;

• Constipation;

• Depression;
