COVID-19 Update

Dear Ubuntu Clients,

Along with all of you, we have spent the last month or two learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting the world. The progression of the virus is causing significant concern regarding our daily routine for the near future.

As a medical practice, we are taking steps to limit and mitigate the impact of the virus on our staff, practitioners and clients. We are monitoring our government agencies and following their guidelines in implementing new, and modifying existing, operational procedures. The safety of our clients, staff and practitioners is our highest priority.

We are able to offer telephone consultations with some of our practitioners during this time. Please telephone the surgery before you come in so we can give you up to date information.

If you are seeking information on COVID-19, call the Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Protecting Yourself And Others From COVID-19

The Australian Government Department of Health has information about protecting yourself and others from COVID-19. Novel coronavirus is transmitted from person to person, usually when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

Transmission may occur from contaminated surfaces, so it is important to frequently wash your hands.

To protect yourself and others from infection practice good hand and respiratory hygiene including:

✅ cleaning hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rubs
✅ covering your nose and mouth with a tissue or flexed elbow when coughing or sneezing
✅ avoiding contact with anyone who has symptoms such as fever, a cough, sore throat, fatigue, and shortness of breath
✅ staying home if you are unwell.
